WITH NEW TOOLS, CONSUMERS CAN NOW TRACK, MONITOR & MANAGE EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR LIFE.

Consumers have a constant thirst for information and knowledge. Whether it is about a celebrity, events that are happening around the world or even information related to their health and overall wellbeing, consumers want more information at their fingertips. Mobile devices are more affordable, and in doing so, giving consumers the ability and the tools to check, monitor, and manage their personal data like never before—even in real-time.

We have mobile apps that pay our bills (CASH-LESS), start our car and turn on the lights and A/C in our house when we aren’t home. And now that consumers are becoming more aware of their health, the market for healthy living apps has grown immensely. According to Healthline.com, here are a few of the ‚ÄòBest Healthy Lifestyle’ apps of 2013: Sleep Talk Recorder (iPhone- 4.5 stars, Android- 4 stars) has a filtered sound system that detects what happens while you sleep and quickly alerts the app to start recording. The app can also be used as an alarm clock too.

Do you know what to do if someone has a diabetic emergency or gets a bad burn? The Pocket First Aid & CPR (iPhone- 4.5 stars, Android- 4.4 stars) app can help you with those answers, providing you with step-by-step instructions and videos to guide you. It also provides you with AED information for life threatening situations.

What would you do if you got a headache but you weren’t sure what pain relievers you could take because of other medications you are on? Drugs.com Medication Guide (iPhone 4.5 stars, Android 4.6 stars) app will help you figure that out. By entering what medications you take, the conditions you are treating and any allergies that you may have, it will tell you the potential side effects or negative interactions. It can also help you identify pills by markings, color and shape.

Mobile apps aren’t just for convenience anymore. They are becoming more personal and consumers are relying on them for health related purposes. For brands to be successful in this arena, they need to think about consumers’ hunger for personal data. It’s key to help consumers understand their lives. In doing so, they are able to better manage or improve themselves. Creating tools that show consumers the effects of using your products may not only give them inspiration, but tell others about the app as well.
